How to unfollow LinkedIn connections without removing them

To stop seeing someone's posts without ending the connection, unfollow them instead of removing them. You stay connected, they are not notified, and recommendations and endorsements between you stay in place.

The two actions look similar but have different consequences for your network.

How to unfollow one connection on LinkedIn
LinkedIn documents three places to unfollow someone:
- From a post in your feed: select the More icon in the top right of the post, then Unfollow followed by their name.
- From their profile: select More in the introduction section, then Unfollow.
- From your network: open My Network, then People I Follow, and select Following under their name.
How to follow someone again
- Select the Me icon, then Settings & Privacy.
- Open Account preferences, then Site preferences.
- Select People you unfollowed.
- Select Follow next to their name.
How to unfollow many connections at once
LinkedIn's own controls unfollow one person at a time. For a larger cleanup, CleanIn works through a selection you review first:

- Add anyone you want to keep seeing to your keep list. They are excluded from every selection.
- Select the people to unfollow and review the selection before anything changes.
